BUSINESS CREDIT PRINCIPLES
Introduction to credit, the credit decision, the credit cycle, monitoring and collecting accounts, the C’s of credit, collecting the past due account, obtaining credit information, collection techniques, analyzing credit information data for management evaluation, obtaining security as necessary.
BASIC FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
A basic financial accounting course covering the fundamentals of accounting including journalizing, posting, financial statements, adjustments, and cash funds. Financial recordings addressed more from a credit management and investor point of view.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT ANALYSIS I
Fundamentals of financial analysis, use of chart of accounts, general ledger and trial balance, evaluation of major assets and equity accounts, types of financial statements and financial reports and when they are used, certification letters and their meanings, ratio analysis and trend analysis, non-financial aspects and role of auditors, how and when creditors and owners differ in reviewing financial statements, budgets, cash flow and other projections.
ADVANCED CREDIT ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM (ACAP) COURSE TOPICS:
CREDIT LAW
The Uniform Commercial Code, contracts, antitrust, negotiable instruments, methods of financing, security transactions, introduction to bankruptcy, suits and judgments, documents of title, guarantees, pledges and other security devices, mechanics liens, bond claims and federal construction laws, and international trade and credit.
FSA II/ FINACIAL STATEMENTS: INTERPRETATION & CREDIT RISK ASSESSMENT
Concepts of financial reporting, in-depth review of financial statements, financial analysis, short-term and long-term debt paying ability, analysis of profitability, statement of cash flows, case studies.
BUSINESS LAW
The course studies the relationship between law and business. Includes: coverage of laws which impact the employer/employee relationship, product safety, advertising, contracts, business organizations, business crimes and torts in a global, political and social environment.
